Rihanna Launches RiRi Hearts MAC Fall Make-up Line

Pop star Rihanna has been busy in the beauty arena with her second clothing and accessories collection for British retailer River Island hit stores Sept. 12, the singer started rolling out her fourth fragrance, Rogue by Rihanna, late last month. And her third makeup collection for MAC Cosmetics, RiRi Hearts MAC, launched yesterday Thursday at MAC.

A fourth RiRi Hearts MAC collection is slated to launch in December, reportedly adding makeup bags, nail polish and other products in pearly white packaging to the line.

Honorable Tonye Harry has died. Mr Harry reportedly died yesterday of a heart attack. 

He was One time deputy speaker (1999 -2007) and one-term speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly (2007 - 2011) Rt Hon. Tonye Harry has died. Mr Harry reportedly died yesterday of a heart attack. He was 47 years old. May his soul rest in peace, Amen.

Late Ex- Governor Agagu's corpse retrieved Burial Plans Proceeds for Today.

 The casket, bearing the corpse of the Ondo State former governor, Dr. Olusegun Agagu, has been recovered by rescue agencies at the site of the Associated Airlines plane, which crashed in Lagos on Thursday morning, however, the state of the corpse or that of the casket could not be ascertained. Eleven Passengers confirmed Dead ' Lagos Plane Crash'

Details emerging from the ill fated Associated Aircraft crash that was conveying the corpse of Late Olusegun Agagu with twenty family members and friends of the family on board. The plane was headed for Akure where the late ex governor was to be buried tomorrow LASEMA has confirmed eleven people dead. Five persons were said to have survived the Associated Airline plane that crashed in Lagos, Nigeria this morning.The plane suffered an engine failure shortly after takeoff in Lagos, crash-landing on the runway, killing 15 people on board, according to the statement by Nigeria’s aviation authorities, FAAN.
“We have recovered eight bodies so far, while one person who is badly injured is being taken to the hospital. The rescue operation is still on. It was a small (charter) plane operated by Associated Airlines,” Ibrahim Farinloye of the National Emergency Management Agency said.

Breaking News!!!!! Plane Crash in Lagos!

Reports indicate that a plane crash has occurred at the Lagos airport. The plane is said to be conveying the corpse of Ex- Governor of Ondo's state, Late Olusegun Agagu to Akure .

A witness said the crash occurred at the local wing of the airport close to the section where JET-A1, plane fuel, is stored.

Fire service officials were seen evacuating the occupants of the plane.

It is not yet clear if there was any casualty.

The spokesman of the Nigeria aviation agencies, Yakubu Datti, asked for more time to get details of the incident.

Federal Government withdraws sponsorship of 6 Nigerian Students in Russia.

Sponsorship of six Niger-Delta students at the Peoples Friendship University in Moscow, Russia has been withdrawn by President Goodluck Jonathan. 

The 24-student delegates were sent under a special scholarship scheme for Niger Deltan youths to study in Moscow. The six students were found to be part of a group of students that attacked the Nigerian embassy in Moscow, on Monday.

The government says these students have breached the code of conduct for delegates on scholarship that they signed before their departure from Nigeria’.

He described their action as gross misconduct, which the Nigerian government cannot tolerate.

The students said they had gone on rampage because they were owed their in-training allowance for six months.

Rivers State, the tale of two Leaders

 The disagreement between two rivalry groups that's currently roaring in Rivers state is widely known by all. Yesterday at a ceremony to mark Nigeria's 53rd Independent celebration, Governor Rotimi Amaechi lashed out at some of the alleged actions of the Police in the state, describing them as an attempt by the security agency to turn Rivers into a military state. -

Another Policeman exposed requesting Bribe.

The footage of another policeman requesting bribe from a driver has gone viral again on YouTube. The video was secretly recorded by a passenger at the back seat of a vehicle in Onitsha, Anambra State. The three-minute 18-second video showed a policeman who apprehended the driver of a vehicle that was coming from Akure, Ondo State to Umuahia, Abia State. The policeman sat in the front seat with the driver, and after checking the vehicle particulars, declared that he had discovered some discrepancies between the documents and the chassis number.

President GEJ set to address the nation tomorrow

In commemoration of the nation’s 53rd Independence Day celebration, the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria President Goodluck Jonathan will be making an Independence broadcast tomorrow at 7 am.

Presidential spokesman, Reuben Abati, said this in a two-paragraph statement, made available to journalists on Monday.

The statement read, “President Goodluck Jonathan will make an Independence Day Broadcast to the nation at 7am tomorrow, Tuesday, October 1, 2013.

“All television and radio stations in the country are enjoined to hook up to the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority  and the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria to relay the broadcast to their viewers and listeners.”

Alleged Nigeria terrorist pleads 'not guilty' in the US Court.

A Nigerian citizen pleaded not guilty in a United States federal court in Brooklyn on Friday to helping an al Qaeda affiliate recruit English-speaking people in Nigeria.

Between January 2010 and August 2011, Lawal Olaniyi Babafemi traveled twice from Nigeria to Yemen to train with leaders of al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, known as AQAP, U.S. prosecutors said in a statement.

Babafemi, 33, helped AQAP’s media operations, including the publication of its magazine, called “Inspire,” according to the statement.

A New Miss World Winner

A new Miss World was crowned today Saturday, September 28th 2013 and though she competed as Miss Philippines, she hails from the United States.

Megan Young, 23, an aspiring filmmaker, took the top honor at the competition, held in Bali, Indonesia.

"No words! Thank you so much for everyone for choosing me. I promise to be the best Miss World ever," Young said.

Miss France, Marine Lorphelin, and Miss Ghana, Carranzar Naa Okailey Shooter, were second and third runners up, respectively.
